2003.01.30 –> 2004.01.30

Developing e-learning platform and active web tools: Facilitating the integration of collaboratories into distant learning frameworks accessible through the Internet.

HU:

PT:

2 Distant learning environment (websites, scripts, etc.) suitable for networked laboratories - collaboratories.

Purpose of this package is to develop technical tools, which will facilitate and support communication within one platform across different languages. If children and teachers are to collaborate across regional and language borders, there must be advanced and sophisticated technology to overcome the language barriers (e.g. national versions of the same programming language for visual modelling or national versions of a script language for creating animated stories and presentation etc.). Therefore, we will develop and evaluate set of tools to make such communication feasible.

2003.01.30 –> 2004.01.30

Developing communication and co-operation tools for collaboratories: Develop technical tools, which will facilitate and support communication within Imagine across different languages to overcome the language barriers.

SK:

3 Technical tools to facilitate and support communication within Imagine across different language versions.

Language Issues in Imagine

2003.01.30 –> 2004.01.30

Defining and developing collaborative microworlds (action research): Each partner involved shall develop the collaboratories planed, which are the closest to their profile of development indicated in the output list. These developments provide the basis for starting evaluation of utilising developments in collaborative learning processes. Action research ensures that local evaluation can start at a very early stage and depending on the international aspect of the microworld, even on international field.

Secondary maths microworlds

2003.07.30 –> 2004.01.30

Developing ‘active web' materials (action research): collaboratories that have been designed to fulfil distance collaboration shall be further developed into a Web frame. Action research ensures that local distance evaluation can start at a very early stage and depending on the international aspect of the microworld, even on international field

HU:

SK:

PT:

5 Microworlds implemented into distant learning environment, support materials for use.

ELTE-HU will embed developed microworlds into e-learning platforms and develop support material.

CNO-PT will embed developed microworlds into e-learning platforms and develop support material.

2003.07.30 –> 2004.01.30

Implementing organic enhancements of Imagine platform: Implement generic and organic enhancements of Imagine and other platforms with special emphasis on networking and communication aspects.

SK:

UK:

7 Imagine platform enhanced by networking & communication functionality.

Purpose of this sub-task is to implement generic and organic enhancements of Imagine and other platforms with special emphasis on networking and communication aspects. Organic developments and requirements, which will arise from other sub-tasks will be incorporated into the platforms.
